You're the one that I want 

Ég heyrði Brendu Lee flytja þetta lag í Morgunþætti Arnþrúðar Karlsdóttur í morgun. Þekktasta útgáfan er þó sennilega flutningur Jóns Travolta og Ólívíu Newton-John í kvikmyndinni Grease frá 1978. Smáskífa með flutningi þeirra kom út það ágæta sumar og sat í efsta sæti breska vinsældalistans í heilar níu vikur og er sjötta mest selda smáskífa allra tíma, þar í landi. Lagið sat einnig eina viku í efsta sæti ameríska Billboard listans.

Nokkuð margir hafa spreytt sig á þessum gleðismelli, meira að segja menn eins og Dr.Dre og Snoop Dogg notuðu það sem hluta af remixi.  

Bresku grínileikararnir Arthur Mullard og Hylda Baker sem bæði voru á sjötugsaldri gáfu út sína útgáfu árið 1978, sem gekk ágætlega í sölu þangað til gamla fólkið klúðraði algerlega flutningi lagsins í þættinum Top of The Pops.

Árið 1993 kom lagið út á smáskífu með Deboruh Gibson og Craig MacLachlan sem léku í uppfærslu Grease á sviði í Lundúnum. Ein af mínum uppáhaldshljómsveitum The Beautiful South gerði óvenjulega útgáfu af laginu sem er á plötunni Goldiggas, Headnodders and Pholk songs og mun sú útgáfa fljótlega heyrast á Útvarpi Sögu.

Breska hljómsveitin McFly gaf lagið út ásamt safni annarra tökulaga árið 2007, en ég held að áhugaverðasta útgáfan sé þó sú frá Tenacius D ásamt Andy Serkis sem lék Gollum í Hringadróttins-þríleiknum og sögur herma að muni leika Kolbein Kaftein í Tinnamyndum þeirra Peters Jackson og Stevens Spielberg.
